Hardware and Operation System Requirements

Make backups before updating
If you update from an older version of Delta2D please make sure that you have backups of all your data, i.e. all the gel pool directories you worked in. The location of the current gel pool can be seen in the Projects Properties dialog.
Windows: Run setup.exe
Install Delta2D by double-clicking on the file setup.exe. The installation wizard will guide you through the setup process. Please make sure that the installation does not overwrite any existing Delta2D directory, choose a new directory like "Delta2D 4.8".
Mac: Open Delta2D-macosx.dmg
Open Delta2D-macosx.dmg. Start the installer by double-clicking on DECODON Delta2D Installer. The installation program will guide you through the setup process. Please make sure that the installation does not overwrite any existing Delta2D directory, choose a new directory like "Delta2D 4.8".
You need a new license file
The license files for older versions do not work with version 4.8. Users with active maintenance find their license files in their private area (password protected).
